FAQs

What Are Racking Plates?

Racking plates are a part of our Cellar and Brew Fittings Range and used in winemaking and brewing industries. These are used to separate liquids and solids when transferring fermented liquid from one vessel to another.

The racking plate consists of an inlet and a dish. The dish depth is 20mm and the inlet is below the dish edge which provides maximum results when racking. In the inlet, there is a series of holes which allow fluid to pass through and retain sediment or lees, ensuring a clearer and more refined product.

We stock racking plates to suit Butt Weld connections and with a Male RJT end connection. These are stocked in sizes 1 ½”, 2” and 3”.
